Allen Fieldhouse opened in 1955 as home to the Kansas Jayhawk's men's basketball team. It was named after Dr. Forrest C. "Phog" Allen, a former coach. Allen Fieldhouse has hosted 37 NCAA Championship Tournaments, has statistically the greatest home-court advantage and was called "the best place in America to watch college basketball" by sportswriter Mark Whicker. 2009 marked the end of a major renovation in which a new court was installed. The old court floor is used to craft this item. These cufflinks are crafted from authentic Allen Fieldhouse basketball floor. Set in sterling silver with swivel findings, these cufflinks feature the scuffs and scratches of the floor on which the Jayhawks won 62 consecutive wins at home. Measures 13/16" x 7/16" and back hallmarked "Kansas." Officially licensed by the University of Kansas, each pair of cuff links comes gift-boxed with a Certificate of Authenticity.
