The McAlpin Hotel in Herald Square was built in 1912 by General Edwin A. McAlpin, president of D.H. McAlpin & Co., a tobacco manufacturer. At the time of its opening, the McAlpin was the largest hotel in the world, employed 1,500 people and could accommodate 2,500 guests.
These cufflinks are crafted from an authentic copper window encasement of the McAlpin Hotel in New York City. Set in sterling silver with a swivel finding, this piece of copper features the wear of decades of use. Measures approximately
